My name is Amos and I live in a small village in South Africa with my grandparents, my aunt and three cousins. My mother went to live in a different city to find employment. We live in two one-roomed mud houses. One house is used as a kitchen and the other house is used as our bedroom, where we all sleep. I receive a child support grant from the government which we use to buy some food and clothing. This does not cover all of my needs, by mid-month, we run out of food. My grandmother has to ask for help to buy food. I am in the 2nd grade and love playing and kicking soccer ball at school with my friends and at home.
