Monthly Financial Support is provided to program participants through individual sponsorships.
Case managers assist the youth in building a personalized budget, which then ensures the financial assistance is used to meet basic needs (food, shelter, transportation, school and health).
In addition, financial support is used to teach the program participant important independent living skills related to management of money (see Money Management under Education).
Monitoring of money management by the young adult is continued until the program participant is discontinued from the program. In-kind and other time limited assistance may also be provided to program participants for needs related to clothing, tuition for school and medical needs. (See Sponsorship FAQ’s)
