The CERI Foster Care (FC) program aims to meet a child’s basic need for shelter, nutrition, clothing, nurture, socialization and interpersonal skills. FC services are delivered by a family (child’s extended family, or a foster family) living in the country of origin of the child. Most children served by the program are orphaned, have experienced life in an orphanage and have never lived with a foster family before. The program’s goal is to meet and exceed children’s basic needs, in order to produce healthy, educated and adapted young adults, ready for independent life.
Foster children admitted to the program are between 0 and 18 years of age. Qualifying children are placed in foster homes and receive the opportunity to be raised in a loving and nurturing family environment.
