Identification of Target Area and Families

Identification of Target Area and Families

Identification of Target Area and Families takes place when CERI staff, in collaboration with local public authorities, determine what communities (towns, villages) would benefit most from the program.

CERI staff present the Food Security program and local authorities decide whether their area needs such an intervention.

In most cases, the population living in the selected areas is stricken by poverty and has little access to education or heath care. Local authorities sign a memorandum of collaboration and assign staff and community volunteers to oversee the service delivery process (usually midwives, nurses and women with good reputation in that community).
