Fathima comes from a very poor family. Her father worked in a rice mill factory and he fought often with her mother. When life became too hard, her mother committed suicide. Her father abandoned her and remarried. Fathima was still a baby when she was abandoned and was taken to live with her grandmother and aunt. Her aunt is a widow and has a very little income. She runs a small shop from her house, shredding and selling coconuts. She suffers from heart problems and has to limit her physical activity. Fathima does well in her studies and is an active girl. She wants to become a teacher and hopes to reach her life goals. Your sponsorship will help her stay with her family and not move to an institution. It will also give her a chance to thrive and achieve her dreams.
