About the Shoe Mission
The first Shoe Mission took place in 1999, when a group of volunteers traveled to Moldova to serve children living in the country’s orphanages. The team witnessed frostbite on the orphans' hands and feet due to lack of proper winter gear. Since then, CERI has worked with volunteers to provide shoes, socks, gloves, hats, and scarves to children living in orphanages around the world.
