Mission Trip Follow-Up takes place both, in-country (during the final meal of the team) and after the volunteers return home.
The final meal (usually dinner) brings together all US volunteers, translators, van drivers and any other participants. It is a good time for reflection on the impact of the trip, remaining needs, and planning for the future.
Indigenous CERI staff present their program needs to the team, and volunteers make decisions on how they would like to stay engaged and connected to the work of CERI. Volunteers are encouraged to follow CERI on social media, sponsor children and spread the word about CERI.
Mission Trip follow-up can also take the shape of a partnership between the churches represented during the trip, or other special events that promote CERI in a certain organization or community.
