CERI-India liaison between US Embassy and American citizens in need

Children’s Emergency Relief International (CERI) India National Program Director serves as a liaison between the United States Embassy in India and U.S. citizens in need CERI India National Program Director, Ian Anand Forber Pratt serves as a Community Liaison Volunteer (CLV) for the United States Embassy in India. According to the U.S. State Department, CLVs “work with U.S. embassies and consulates to identify the needs of the U.S. citizen community so that we may more effectively work to address security, safety, and health issues that affect U.S. citizens.” Ian Anand has served in this role since 2012 and is proud to represent CERI, the international branch of BCFS, to serve U.S. citizens aboard in times of crisis.  Ian Anand Forber Pratt  joined fellow CLVs from India and Bhutan at a meeting in New Delhi today. The CLV program is part of the first phase of U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry’s program, MissionOne: Expanding and Modernizing Services to U.S. Citizens, and part of a greater American Liaison Network (ALN). In attendance were Michelle Bernier-Toth, Managing Director, Overseas Citizens Services, U.S. Department of State; Gregory A. Floyd, Consul, Embassy of the United States of America; Suresh K. Madam, Special Counselor Services Specialist, Embassy of the United States of America.
